This report is out of date.
It used an early method that I've since replaced. It counted hours when my data collector was switched off as missed buses (all of September 6, for example), so the numbers below overstate the problem. Updates stopped on October 2, 2026. The corrected analysis of September is
here.

Confirmed missed buses at the Elmhurst Metra stop
Every one of these was a real scheduled arrival, per Pace's own timetable, with zero vehicle within 500 meters of the stop within 15 minutes of that time.
Method, briefly
Pace's own currently-published GTFS schedule is checked stop-by-stop against real vehicle GPS pings collected
directly from Pace's public live-tracking feed, once every ~60 seconds, 24/7, since Aug 30, 2026. A scheduled
stop only counts once its scheduled time has actually passed, so this report reflects real elapsed service, never
a bus that just hasn't arrived yet. It's counted as missed if no vehicle was recorded within 500 meters and 15
minutes of that stop's real scheduled time, generous enough to allow for normal traffic and light schedule slack.
