Master of Science in Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Elmhurst University
  • Capstone: analyzed food insecurity in DuPage County by layering Census demographic data against SNAP retailer and Pace bus-route data in ArcGIS Online and Arcade — found only 166 of 523 SNAP-accepting locations (31%) were reachable by bus after more than half of Pace's routes were cut in 2022
  • Worked with students in an online team environment, advocating for those who felt unheard and collaborating on shared geospatial projects
  • Built geospatial applications to help the community, staying current with the field through regular industry conferences

  • Built and deployed an Illinois healthcare-accessibility dashboard streaming live Overture Maps GeoParquet data from AWS S3 alongside the U.S. Census API — its clustering methodology was independently recognized by a GIS data consultant on LinkedIn
  • Rebuilt and expanded prior food-access research into a new open-source tool analyzing food-pantry accessibility via public transit across a 90-mile Chicago-area radius
