Open-Source GIS & Geospatial Development 2023 – Present
  • Self-directed study of open-source GIS and Python tools (geemap, leafmap, OSMnx, DuckDB) under practitioners including Qiusheng Wu and Milan Janosov
  • Built and deployed an Illinois healthcare-accessibility dashboard streaming live Overture Maps GeoParquet data from AWS S3 alongside the U.S. Census API — its clustering methodology was independently recognized by a GIS data consultant on LinkedIn
  • Rebuilt and expanded prior food-access research into a new open-source tool analyzing food-pantry accessibility via public transit across a 90-mile Chicago-area radius

  • Cleaned up program data that was messy and inaccurate using pandas and performed data analysis
