Vampire Film Atlas

A temporal heat map of roughly 500 vampire and horror film filming and setting locations across the U.S., spanning 1960 to 2026.

This one is pure personal interest — no civic angle, no thesis to defend. I built it as a gift for a friend who runs the horror-film Discord community I'm part of, mapping roughly 500 vampire and horror film locations across the U.S. as a temporal heat map spanning 66 years, from 1960 to 2026.

It's also just an excuse to combine two things I like — GIS work and non-mainstream genre fiction — without needing either to justify the other.
